When I’ve worn my heart rate monitor recently it’s been giving false readings, most often when my heart rate is high. It seems there are times when it registers two beats as one, or picks up on a few beats but then misses some. It’s frustrating. I’ll try changing the battery in the chest strap and see if that makes a difference. Seriously, though: Not. Helpful. Grah inaccurate monitors.
(Case in point: when I was at the gym yesterday there was a point when my hrm said 136 bpm, but the machine I was using said 214 bpm. I think it was actually in the 195 - 205 range, but still. What even.)

Consequentially, my average heart rate over the last three hours has been 130 bpm. At this point it’s worth noting that, other than walking up the stairs once, I have been sitting quietly and plotting. #this is ridiculous

I did half an hour of easy to moderate cardio stuff at the gym today.
My average heartrate over that time was 188.
